- Details of Event
- A heavy fall of roof at the face - some 30 tons more or less. There were props set under it, and it seemed apparently safe. The roof is strong, and the fall was about 4 feet thick, so that sounding with a hammer or pick would not indicate any danger. It appears that a general squeeze had gradually been coming on in this place, which is a small one just being opened out.
