Inspection made and inquest attended. A feeder of water had blocked the airway and when making a new connection above that point to the workings that had been cut off by the water the collier having bored a bole through and plugged it and afterwards worked to within a distance of knocking through when the deceased went there between the shifts and instead of letting the gas drain off through the borehole he knocked a large hole through and he was overcome by the gas and suffocated.
