Roof fall. Thomas Hood (35), 80d Hazelbank Gardens, Stirling, oncost worker at MilIhall Colliery was killed by a roof fall in the top road of the Upper Mains Section there at about 30 on Thursday morning. Although he was wearing a protective helmet, Hood was fatally injured when his head was caught between two large stones. There is no family. (Stirling Observer).
