He took his horse out of the stalls to start the days work when the harness slipped off. He was picking up the harness when the horse kicked him on the face. The wounds appear to have healed, when deceased took influenza and inflammation of the brain set in. He died of pneumonia 4th February. The inflammation of the brain was caused by a gangrenous spot behind the wound.
