Details of Event
His duty was to drive a compressed air hauling engine but he went to detach an empty tub off the endless rope of the main engine plane. He appears to have had some difficulty with the lever of the snap and failed to detach the tun until it was in contact with empty tub which was twisted round and he was fatally crushed against the side.
