Hogarth, assisted by another worker, was engaged roofing down in a down-brow. After two shots had been fired, Hogarth, acting on the instructions of a fireman, proceeded to secure a bad stone, and when in the act of setting up a prop the roof collapsed, displaced a bar already set, and fatally injured him.
