Whilst engaged in sounding the roof he was knocked down by a set of three tubs, one of which was full. He was standing just behind the set and ought to have directed the driver to put the drag on before instructing him to go and fetch other tubs out of a stall, for he knew that the pony would have to be detached before the driver could carry out his instructions.
