Deceased was a surface labourer and had arrived at the mine a few minutes before the time for commencing work. He went into the workmen’s cabin and was in the act of lighting his pipe when he fell forward off his seat and expired immediately. The doctor certified ‘heart disease’ as the cause of death, and no inquest was held.
