Inspection made and inquest attended. He had been shown a few times how to jig and after he had jigged one journey and was jigging the second himself he appears to have forgotten the handle to the brake was resting on a board placed there to keep it up when not in use and consequently when he was pulling the handle it did not act on the brake, and the empty set crushed him. The jig was only 40 yards in length dipping 1 in 3.
