- Details of Event
- Deceased had fired a shot in the coal and had loaded on the loose coal for about 1 hour. He was in the act of setting a prop where the shot had been fired when the roof fell in on him, killing him almost instantly. The stone that fell was triangular, and there were two bad slips on two sides, and a break on the third. The shot had probably loosened the stone, and the use of planks doubly ended would have been better under this broken roof. Two props were rolled out.
