Deceased was engaged with another man drawing timber with the aid of a sylvester which was anchored by means of a chain four feet long, to a prop set as a roof support, when the latter flew out and a piece roof stone fell upon him, causing injuries from the effects of which he died on 31st October. Instructions have been given by the management that in future timber drawing operations, special posts must be set to which the sylvester must be anchored.
