Inquest attended. The deceased and his marrow were working at the face of a long wall gateway on the first shift after the ‘cavilling’ when a huge stone 21 feet long and two feet thick fell from a slip right across the face. The deputy had just left the place which was timbered up to within six feet from the coal.
