Deceased and another man were ripping down in a roof in a roadway, and had drilled a hole in the stone to shoot it down. As the deceased was returning under this portion of the roof with a drill he had gone for, two blocks of stone fell away from a slip and killed him instantly. A bar was displaced by the fall. The roof had been examined by the fireman two hours previously, and he had pointed out the presence of the slip.
