He was taking a tub containing three small pieces of timber down a slight inclination having detached his horse and sent it forward. He was in front contrary to rule the tub overcame him and got beyond his control, and he was forced forward and jammed against a standing tub at foot of incline. His injuries ended fatally on the next day.
