- In front of a face 15 feet 6 inches high, filling into a hutch, the whole height and length fell over, burying the three men. The length was 21 feet and at the top 3 feet 6 inches wide. It was said to be straight up face, no overhang in the middle of its length, at the bottom was an undermining for 18 inches under, 6 feet in length. Above this lower face, above a bench 12 feet to the top. The quarry being in two heights, 12 feet and 16 feet 6 inches. The fall came from a slimy back, there had been very heavy rain for two days. 3 killed.
