- In the main level, while drawing 26 full tubs ran into four full tubs the horse attached to which had stopped would not draw; two men were flogging the horse instead of taking out the scotch. The horse deceased was driving in its frantic effort to escape, knocked out props which let down several bars and a large quantity of roof resting there on the driver and horse were killed.
