Died 11th October 1902. On 11th August deceased received a slight injury to his shoulder by a fall of stone in the pit and was off work till 25th August when he was given lighter work as the doctor reported was not at present able to do heavy work. He had only resumed a few days when he stopped work owing to dyspepsia and died suddenly away from home. An inquest was held and a post mortem examination made, and it was found that death was due to heart disease.
