Deceased was working on the longwall face in the Queen Coal Seam, which had been on weight during the previous shift, and when preparing to set a bar under the break in the roof a fall of stone caught him. The stone was 7 feet 9 inches long, 2 feet 4 inches wide, and 7 inches thick, and displaced two props. He died from the effects of the injuries on January 17th, 1914.
