Deceased was about to lay the parting of a new stall turning off a heading in the Top Coal Seam. He went down the heading a few yards from the parting, and was in the act of cutting some wooden wedges, when a piece of cliff, 5 feet by 5.5 feet by 13 inches thick, fell from between three slants, and the end of the heading rippings, discharging one road post. A shot, fired in the rippings the previous evening, had probably loosened the stone.
