Deceased left his work as usual on 29th April at the end of his shift. Two days later he sent a note saying he had fallen against a full tub at the top of the jig on the 29th, and hurt his ribs. He was found to have sustained a fractured rib, and, later, developed pneumonia, &c., and died on 19th May, 1914. No one saw deceased injure himself and there was no evidence available except his own statement as aforesaid.
