Details of Event
These men were engaged with others, removing debris with the portable steam crane. The crane was standing on rails laid on newly made ground and whilst it was in the act of lifting with the grab, it suddenly canted over on to its side. The two men wore fatally crushed and scalded. The crane should have been anchored. 2 killed.
