Deceased was scraping out slack from under a breast of coal at the junction of a level with the main a piece of coal and batt 6ft. by 2ft. 7ins. by 2ft. fell from an unseen pressure break at the back of the holing reeled out two sprags, and fell upon him, killing him instantly. The sprags had not been properly "stamped" into the inclined floor, and being insecurely set they were displaced by the weight of the coal upon them.
