Deceased was a taker-off at the bottom of a jig on the Hardmine Level. He was run over by the first load of a journey going past his jig. How he came to be in the way is not known, as the driver was behind the journey. Just at the moment, however, there was a runaway in the jig and he may have been startled and jumping up suddenly, probably stumbled in front of the loads.
