An inquest was held and jury returned the following verdict "The said John Hall died at Ashington on the 5th April from Capillary Bronchitis, the result of, and due to an accident received by him when at work at the Ashington Colliery on the 15th day of December, 1898.", Buried at Holy Sepulchre Churchyard, Ashington.
