Deceased and his mate on reaching their working place, found that two props had been reeled out during the work owing to the floor rising. Wishing to get out some back timber and to secure their safety while doing so, they proceeded to reset the props. Deceased had only struck his once when the roof fell over an area of 12 feet by 8 feet and to a height of 3 feet at centre. It gave no warning and came away from a previously unseen slip. They had tapped it immediately before and it sounded all right.
