Details of Event
Deceased and his brother had reached the bottom of the jinney when the set moved away. They sat on some air pipes at the empty side until the full load came down. While there they heard one of the sets running away. Deceased thought it was the empty train running back so jumped into the full road and he was immediately caught by the full tubs and run over and fatally injured. The cause of the tubs running a main was the rope getting off the pulley at the top of the jinney and the jerk thus caused straightening the hook of one of the couplings.
