- Details of Event
- Back of both legs burned, his clothes having caught fire as a result of his throwing some colzaline oil on a fire which he and a man were lighting in a repairing shop, part of a lamp cabin on the surface at Lower Deep pit. The oil used was colzaline with 68 to 80 degrees flash point. This I believe is the second death from the use of this oil in the lamp cabins at this colliery.
