Fall of side at face while the lad was filling coal into a box under a piece of overhanging clod. It fell upon him and killed him instantaneously. The collier should have seen that the boy worked in a safe place and the clod should have been supported by sprags or steps should have been taken to break it down. Clod which fell measured 3ft. by 10ins by 11ins. Five Feet seam, safety lamps.
