- 3 August 1925: Bothwell – Colliery Accident – On Monday afternoon two miners named J. Griffen 101 Baird's Rows, Blantyre and Edward Murphy 12 Clova Terrace, Uddingston, were seriously injured by a fall from the roof while employed at Bothwell Castle Colliery, and were removed to their homes in Uddingston Ambulance waggon.
