When riding on the buffer of the leading wagon of a train of full wagons going down an incline to the Railway sidings, the wagons got buffers locked through running into stationary wagons in the Sidings, and Green got fatally injured in consequence. It was said that the brakes of the moving wagons had not been sufficiently pinned down, and that the rails were greasy owing to frost.
