Inspection made and inquest attended. Deceased and two other men were timbering an old drift making is about 6 feet high by 8 feet wide. They were putting in a fork under one end of a headtree when the side gave way and Greaves was buried. The place was apparently being carefully worked but the roof and sides consisted of dry gravely ore which once let loose, soon filled the place. An official inspection had been made during the shift.
