Died 11 Aug. While drilling a shot hole in a coal seam deceased knocked this skin off the knuckle of the forefinger of his left bend. He finished his shift and worked this next day, July 25, after which he worked no more. This wound became inflamed and he saw a doctor on July 26 and was under his care until he died of blood-poisoning or septic pneumonia on August 11. An inquest was held and this Jury returned a verdict of accidental death from blood-poisoning, this result of injury to finger while at work.
