Deceased and fifteen workmen being raised to the surface after the day's work was done and by some unexplained cause he fell off the cage. The space between the end of the shaft and the cage was insufficient to allow him to fall into the shaft and he was dragged up to a ring and forced into its space and when the cage passed he dropped to the bottom a distance of l34 fathoms.
