- A rider took a tram of rubbish up a dip, and when going over some pointers it got off the rails. The rope had been attached to the side of the tram and there was a barhook behind the tram. The barhook was removed to allow the tram to be lowered past the pointers in the hope that it would get on to the rails but it did not. The rider then depending on the front wheels being off the rails to keep the tram from running back uncoupled the rope from the side to hitch it on to the drawbar. Directly he detached the rope the tram ran back and crushed deceased against the side. The rider should not have detached the rope. Died July 12.
