Standing at the bottom of jig brow when tubs were running; rope broke; four full tubs ran amain, crushed him against tubs in the level. A long prop slung to the last empty tub going up had slewed and caught against a bar, putting such a strain on the rope that it broke. Rope, new 5/8-inch steel.
