- Details of Event
- The deceased and his mate had brought their full tubs to the top of a self-acting incline 20 yards long. Two empty tubs were attached to the one at the bottom, and while the deceased held the brake handle and also attached the rope to the back tub, his mate attempted to couple the two tubs and thought he had done so, but on pushing them over the landing, the first tub ran amain and struck the empties at the bottom, causing a severe jerk to the rope and the standing load to be snatched back, deceased's head being crushed between it and the corner of a wood cog.
