Deceased had been boring a hole near the top of the quarry on a level bench 3.5ft. wide. For some purpose he required to go up on to the grass and when he attempted to get up on to the overburden the edge of it gave way and he rolled backwards into the quarry, which was 35 feet deep. He died the day following.
