Details of Event
He was lifting a full tub on to the rails when the pulley holding the full rope broke, allowing the rope to fall. It caught on the hook of a timber tram pulling some full tubs forward. Godley was crushed between the tub and the side, and so seriously injured that he died on 15th September.
