Details of Event
Deceased was putting coal on a fire near the screens at the end of the night shift, when a man lowered a full wagon on to him. The fire was in the 6 foot way and deceased need not have stepped across the rail. The man who lowered the wagon admitted that he did not give any warning, nor did he see that the road was clear, contrary to Sidings Rule, No.14.
