23 April 1929: Dysart Pit Fatality - David Glen (46), pithead worker, 12 Quality Street, Dysart, has died in Kirkcaldy Hospital as the result of injuries sustained in the Randolph Pit last week. The unfortunate man was run down by a hutch, and sustained severe injuries to his legs and body. He leaves a widow and family. [Scotsman 24 April 1929]
