Details of Event
Deceased was employed to clean out behind an electrically driven coal cutter. He was in riding, in front of the machine and in contact with the haulage rope. The latter became charged due to a short circuit in the plug box on the machine. The boy was instantly killed. The pressure of supply was 400 volts DC. Artificial respiration was tried unsuccessfully for 2 hours.
