- Details of Event
- Deceased was going outbye with a set of three loaded tubs, two of the wheels being lockered. The inclination of the road was about 1 in 25 in favour of the loads. He was found sitting between, the second and third tubs, with his legs astride of the wheel which was hard up against him. He had sustained severe abdominal injuries, but was conscious, and stated that he had stumbled and fallen when walking in front of his horse. From his position, and the fact that when found the second tub was derailed, it appeared to be more probable that he had gone between it and the last tub to lift the rear end of the second, and that the horse hall started suddenly, causing him to fall between the tubs. He succumbed to his injuries on the same day.
