Fall of roof at face of a stone heading. While drilling a hole with a Flottman drill for the purpose of shooting down a portion of the side to make room for a pair of timbers, a fall of roof occurred which killed him. The heading had reached a fault which had the effect of disturbing the strata. Props might have been set in the centre of the roadway to support the roof while this work was being done. Safety lamps.
