- Details of Event
- Fall of clift stone which set in between the coal and the true Elled top or roof. It comes in like a large flattened out "Bell Mould." The partition between the clift and the true top is generally smooth or glossy and has frequently proved dangerous as it breaks off readily. Several accidents, fatal and non-fatal, have happened through it, as owing to the normal roof being strong, men are liable to misjudge it in these cases and not set timber close enough to meet the conditions which occurred in this instance.
