- Part of deceased's duty was to oil screening machinery. He came work about 9 p.m. or an hour late was last seen by the underkeeper getting into an empty wagon under the screens probably with a view to examine the sheaves and a short length of shafting carrying the underside of the coal cleaning belt. The ends of the wagon only cleared the beams of the floor above by 2 inches and on the wagon being moved by the wagon shifter who was unaware of decease position he was found crushed between one of its ends and one of the beams.
