It was the duty of the deceased to take off the full tubs at the bottom of a collier's jig brow dipping 1 in 3.5. He was found dead, being crushed between the front end of a full tub and a roof bar close to the bottom of the brow. There was a brattice cloth on the bar which would lessen the sound of the tub running, but there was no evidence to show how the accident occurred.
