This was a very simple accident and might have been prevented by the exercise of a little more care and better judgement. While deceased and a driver were drawing by means of a horse a heavy drilling machine with compressed air, engine attached, the tram on which it was being conveyed got off the way at a turn. In trying to get the tram on to the road again it canted over when the horse pulled away and crushed Fowler against a stone pack wall.
