- Whilst deceased was engaged in getting coal in a longwall working place, a block of post stone, 5 feet long, 1.5 feet wide, and 2.5 feet thick, fell from converging joints, killing him instantly. The seam was 1 foot 10 inches section, and a prop which was set under the middle of the stone was displaced.
