15 April 1916: Kelty – Pit Accident – While at work in Aitken pit on Saturday morning, Mr Harry Forrester, a pit fireman, had his shoulder dislocated and otherwise injured by a fall of stone from the roof. Harry who has rendered valuable services at the various charity concerts etc during the winter was due to occupy a prominent part in the cantata on Sunday evening.
