Deceased was walking outbye on an engine plane in the Brockwell seam when a slab of stone with maximum thickness of 4 inches fell roof upon him. The stone was relieved from a slip and a cleavage plane. The road was frequently examined and travelled by officials who had noticed no danger. The Local Inspector reported that they thought the mishap was a pure accident.
